    Rotel 1570 pre/pro & 3D pass through

    Hello everyone,

I was directed here for a thread on the Rotel 1570 pre/pro & 3D passthrough but seems like some of the older threads no longer exist. Can anyone comment on how to achieve 3D passthrough for the Rotel 1570 pre/pro.

I have a Oppo 105 BDP which has dual HDMI out which allows for AV splitting. I just cant figure out the settings on the Rotel to allow for HDMI audio only.

    Thanks ahead of time.

Why would you want the audio to go through the HDMI? If you do that, might as well get the bdp-103.

Take advantage of the audiophile DAC's in the 105 by using the 7.1 analogue outs for the audio. Take further advantage of the seperate 2 channel DAC's by connecting another set of analogues to a different input on the 1570... Id label one as Blu-Ray and the other as CD.

As far as passthrough... Should be on the settings menu of the Rotel... I think its already setup as a passthrough.

Thanks for the great help. I will do this. Sometimes when you get overwhelmed with the options and 96 page manual you lose sight of the best option.

Very much agreed. Definitely take advantage of the Oppo DAC's since they will be far superior to the Rotel's for both BD's and CD playback.

          RC-1570 vs RDD-1580 with RC-1580
          by BWLover
Hello all. I've got a friend coming into the world of hi-fi. He would like to be able to play from his iPhone or his laptop. I'm wondering if he should get the RC-1570 as his pre amp, seen as it has USB capabilities. Or if he should get a classic pre amp (RC-1580) and use Rotel's new RDD-1580 DAC? Is...

One is saying that Rotel pro pre has a detailed sound, clean, nutural and warm sound. But Nad has a harsh sound. I didn't listen to them but now I want to hear from an expert people ... What do you...

          SSP600 passthrough ? ? ?
          by Blue-Eyes
          Hi folks,

We all now that the CP500/700 have a passthrough funtion (change a inputname into SSP) .

I tried it on a SSP600, but it won't work.
I planned a second pre/pro for HD sound, I don't like the bassmanagement of the current BD players.

          Does anyone...

RSX 1550 vs RSP-1570 for Pre Pro duties
          by ldgibson76
For a long time, i've been considering replacing my RSP-1069 with the RSP-1570 or a RSP-1572, if I could find it at an obscenely low price which right, now I know is highly unlikely.

That being said, the likely scenario was the 1570, until recently, someone brought the RSX-1550 to my...

          Noob question: 1570 and headphones
          by zx_toth
          Hello,

My first post here. Im currently using a Denon 2807 as my pre/pro with my Rotel amps (1080 and 1085) but am hoping to upgrade to the Rotel 1570 pre/pro to improve my setup.

I have a pair of Sennheiser 650s that I use to watch movies when the wife is gone to bed....
