    Equipment placement

Hello. I plan on buying a turntable. It would end up taking my cdp spot. With my current audio rack the only option is to put my CD player on top of my pre amp. Is this a bad idea?

I'm not familiar with that particular preamp, but make sure you have enough space for any heat to escape. You might want to consider some sort of Vibrapods or other similar device to raise the level, as well as isolate it from vibration.

The pre amp has no heat vents on it if that helps. And are the pods for in between the pre amp and cdp? Or for the TT? Ill be putting the TT on the solid tech feet of silence isolation feet I currently have the cdp on.

I would think you'll be ok. I have a Rotel RCD-951 stacked on top of an RC-972 preamp and it neither seem to generate any heat.

I have an RC-1082 and can confirm that it runs cool although that wouldn't stop me giving it an inch of breathing space.

            Vibrapods Rule!
            by stantheman2
I've been toying with some means of vibration suppression under my Denon DVD-2200 for a while. Last week I broke down and popped for a set of Vibrapods - what was there to lose except a measly $24? I installed the 'pods four days ago and have been doing some critical listening (CDs exclusively) since....

Last week my V good friend (PewterTA) brought over his new (less than the factory recommended 30 hours run-in time) Cambridge Audio 840C CDp for a V informal and unscientific demo.

Rotel RMB-1095 and heat dissipation / required free space
            by nvdeynde
            Hi,

I'm considering buying a Rotel RMB 1095 power amplifier.
I'm just concerned that I don't have enough free space in my rack to dissipate the heat that the amplifier generates.

I have an open Sonus Elite Rack, on all 4 sides there's plentyu of open space left,...

Tube output CDP or Pre Amp w/ Parasound Halo Amps?
            by NMyTree
Has anyone ever tried or experienced (heard) a Parasound Halo amp (A21), being fed with a CDP or Pre-Amp with a tube output stage, in two channel audio?

Or the C2 being fed a CDP w/tube output in two channel audio?

Would love to hear some thoughts/opionions on how it...

            My "last" CDP? (long)
            by Inscrutable
In a continuing 3-steps-up-and-2-steps-back game of Home Improvement, I recently separated my HT and 2-ch systems. Unfortunately, my megachanger destined for semi-temp duty in the 2-ch setup didn't fit in the new Salamander rack, so I gave it to my brother-in-law [which was his FIRST foray into digital!...
