latest rsp-1068 firmware?

Hey there folks... I finally have access to a windows laptop and I'm looking to update the firmware on my rsp-1068, but the link to the latest firmware here seems to be dead. Any suggestions?

Works fine for me. Remember the cable you need should be in the box the 1068 came in. If you lost it you'll have to contact Rotal and ask for a new one.

not sure about a couple things with the update...

I did the update today, which was long overdue (v1.24 - v1.31), but I've noticed a couple of unsettling things:

First, the main menu won't let me select "test tone" to set the relative volume of the speakers. Isn't this a bug? Has anyone notified Rotel?

Secondly, the release notes say "Adjusting the subwoofer low pass crossover frequency on the Sub Setup menu will now automatically set the corresponding high pass frequencies on for all the Small speakers in the system". If this is true then it takes the ability to blend different speakers in a system. For example: I'm using a pair of Acoustat M3s for my front speakers, which I used to crossover at 60hz, and the rest of my speakers I set the crossover at 80hz. I'm sure I'm not the only person with main speakers that don't perfectly match their surrounds. I thought it was great that Rotel offered this flexibility. Why would they take away such a great feature?

1. It sounds like a bug if it won't let you select Test Tone, but make sure that you are not currently either in (a) Stereo Bypass mode or (b) have the Multi input selected, either of which will skip over the Test Tone menu selection.

2. It sounds like it will auomatically set all speakers initially to the same frequency selected in Sub Setup, but will it not allow you to subsequently change each speaker's crossover frequency individually in Speaker > Advanced from there?

thanks for the quick responses. Yep Kevin (good to read you again btw...) I had remembered to reset the default.

But srb, your post made me think that maybe even though I had re-entered my settings, I hadn't actually played any music through the system yet when I had last tried accessing the "test tone" menu. Since then had played a cd then went to dinner. So I've just checked the menu and voila! - test tones. I'm thinking maybe the processor needed a signal to get out of stereo bypass mode or something.

After that I checked the crossover setting in the "Advanced" menu and it sounds like it's working as it did before. So apparently I misunderstood the release notes. Seems even though the Sub Setup menu crossover frequency setting is a global crossover setting, any crossover changes in the "Advanced" menu still take priority.

What happens is the same as before, but as soon as you change the sub crossover in the normal menu, it will (should) change all the advanced settings to that same value.
