Hello,
I'm having some issues with my Rotel 1570 when the sampling/bit rate of sources switch.
I have a SqueezeBox Touch connected via digital toslink directly to the Rotel.
There is no analog connection made.
Often if I play a 96Khz or 88Khz 24 bit source, and then select a 16Bit 44.1 KHz redbook source/song, the song becomes distorted. All songs are being played on the SqueezeBox connected to the same input BTY.
The only way I can get the audio back, is to power down the Rotel and restart.
Resetting the Logitech Squeezebox doesn't correct the issue.
I also have the luxury of trying the Squeezebox directly with the same cable to an Arcam rDac external DAC, which is connected to the Rotel via analog.
There are never any issues. I've also tried a different cable to the Rotel - same issue.
So....to me it appears the Rotel DAC's are potentially at fault here. Or could it be the Squeezebox Touch?
Any suggestions?
