Do anybody out there have this combination? If so....I'm asking for your help.
A while back I described an issue I was having with my SBT and Rotel 1570.
I have a SBT connected via digital toslink directly to the Rotel.
There is no analog connection made.
If I play a 96Khz or 88Khz 24 bit source, and then select a 16Bit 44.1 KHz redbook source/song, the song becomes distorted EVERY TIME. All songs are being played on the SBT connected to the same input BTY.
The only way I can get the audio back, is to power down the Rotel and restart.
Resetting the SBT doesn't correct the issue. I've tried coax digital, and all digital inputs - same issue.
I also have the luxury of trying the SBT directly with the same cable to an Arcam rDac external DAC, which is connected to the Rotel via analog.
There are never any issues. I've also tried a different cable to the Rotel - same issue.
I've been in contact with Rotel Tech Support who have been EXCEPTIONAL once again. Only issue....they don't had a SBT to test. I have an older Rotel 1068 which works perfectly with these different sampling frequencies. It just seems that the 1570 doesn't like it. The 1068 has a different design than the 1570.
The 1069 is VERY similar according to Rotel. Thus, if you have a 1069 and SBT, a test would be valid.
If there is anybody out there with this combination , could you please try playing a HiRes track followed by a 44.1KHz track and let me know if you experience any problems.
