    Voltage too high?

    hey folks

i sent my amp away to get fixed because it made a very load hissing and cracking sound. i got an electrician out to check to see if the pint was faulty.
he said the reading on his multimeter was 249V. he said it was nothing to worry about. I'm not sure, what do you guys think? is it too high? im in Australia BTW. its usually 240V here

The electrician is correct. Although 240V is common in Australia, the national standard is 230V, +10%/-6%. Therefore, 249V is within that tolerance range.

RDC-7, can the voltage be changed to 240V from 115V
        by Andy0217
        Hi to all,

I am thinking about purchasing a RDC-7 from the USA and having it shipped back to Australia where we have 240V/50HZ.

My question is, is it possible to change the voltage with one of these units, and if so how difficult would it be.

        If not, I guess...

        International voltages on Parasound
        by Linmuse
Am looking at purchasing some second hand Parasound gear over the net in the US and wondering if the 110v US units are suitable on 240v in Australia.

I know some brands come with a duel voltage selector but others require modifications to the power supply.

        Feedback on...

        Classe SSP600 voltage change
        by jimarchy
I have a 110v SSP and I am going back to the UK soon after a stint in the US, I read that the voltage can be changed to 240v. Any idea how much it costs? Who should I use? or should I just buy a voltage regulator like the PS Audio P300?

        cheers

        RMB-1575 voltage change
        by jimarchy
I have a RMB-1575 which I purchased here in the USA in December, 110v. I am returning to the UK and the manual says it can be upgraded to 240v. Any idea how much this costs and the best way of doing this? Or should I stick with 110v and buy a voltage regulator like the PS Audio P300?

        Rotel RB-1092 Voltage, etc.
        by EmilSA
My RB-1092 has arrived in South Africa from Michigan, where I managed to track down a silver one.

I have a few questions regarding this amp and I'd be very happy to hear your inputs.

First things first - I need to change the voltage from 110V to 240V. Is it as simple as...
