    RMB-1575 voltage change

I have a RMB-1575 which I purchased here in the USA in December, 110v. I am returning to the UK and the manual says it can be upgraded to 240v. Any idea how much this costs and the best way of doing this? Or should I stick with 110v and buy a voltage regulator like the PS Audio P300?

    cheers

I would try to change the input voltage. Its usually set by an internal jumper of some sort, although I'm not sure in the 1575. You could call Rotel UK tech support and ask them: 01903-221700

Since the ICEpower-modules in the amp already has onboard voltage switching it shouldn't really be that hard, so I don't think (hope!) that a service center would charge you a lot for it.

Ok, got an answer from Classe / Rotel UK. £190 (less if I organize my own shipping) to change it to 240v. Thats not bad I guess... That said I can buy a PS Audio PS300 for £400 on ebay... which is the same price as getting two units changed.... Hmmmm.

Good news is they can be changed. Now, just need to decide which route is best for me.

Ouch. There has to be someone who can do it cheaper than that

Sent the unit to B&W(UK) and they have converted the voltage, took them a week from collection to returning it. They charged me £60 to change the voltage and that included the courier service too so very pleased with the outcome!!! :T They were very helpful.

My RB-1092 has arrived in South Africa from Michigan, where I managed to track down a silver one.

I have a few questions regarding this amp and I'd be very happy to hear your inputs.

First things first - I need to change the voltage from 110V to 240V. Is it as simple as...

I have a 110v SSP and I am going back to the UK soon after a stint in the US, I read that the voltage can be changed to 240v. Any idea how much it costs? Who should I use? or should I just buy a voltage regulator like the PS Audio P300?

Hi there everyone! I recently had my stuff moved out of storage from another province to the province I moved to three years ago, it's so nice to have my stereo back. I've got a quick question about my power conditioner. At my old place the power coming in was pretty stable at 120V, every once in a...

I am thinking of buying a parasound a51 us model, but before I can use it in my home, I must change the operating voltage from 110 v to 230 v. In the owners manuel, it says : " Changing the A51`s operating voltage involves rewiring internal connections for both its main power transformer, and standby...

How Does The A21 Deal With Voltage Lower Than 120?
                by locomk
My Line Condtioner Is Reading Out Only 112 Volts Right Now. Seems To Me That The Bass Response Is Really Lacking At The Moment. I've Been Thinking About A Voltage Regulator But Dont Want To Spend Too Much, Might Get A Used Avs2000 Or Something, Dont Want To Spend More Than $500 Tops.
