    hi

I have a rotel 1062 that i have bouhgt in second hand about a week ago.

i´m afraid that the amp as some problem.

it makes some noise in high frequencies when is playing a cd or a mp3 file. like i was listening a vinyl or so...

Welcome to the forum.Have you tried other inputs on the 1062?Does it happen only on the cd input?Have you tried another cd/mp3 player or are you streaming audio from a pc?Do you have it hooked up to any other sources and does it do it on them?Do you have a loose or bad connection?Have you tried swapping out cables?

I would contact the seller as sounds as though you got a bum deal. When you bought it were you able to demo it first or is this a ebay or audiogon sale?

If it is a ebay sale you are probably going to take a loss. You can also call Rotel support.Hope it works out for you.

          it was a private sell.

but the seller says that it all right with the amp.

he says that the problem is from the recordings or the source.

in fact the noise its only in some cds or files. not in all of them.

          thanks

Are you using a cd player or streaming audio from a music server(PC) ?

Really sounds like a source problem.

do you think a DAC will solve the problem?

the DAC will eliminate the fssssss noise?

So it only happens on certian cd's and only sometimes with music from the squezebox.I am not sure a external dac would solve your problem.

Do you have the cd player, squeze box and 1062 pluged into a power strip or a power conditioner? Does it happen on the same cd's at the exact same part of a song everytime?

What exactly is the noise you are hearing?

Try going straight to the wall outlet.See if that helps. If not I am stumped.Maybe someone else will chime in here and offer a suggestion.
