Crackling noise with Rotel 1062 amp

I went on vacation for a few days and when I came back I noticed a crackling interference coming from 1 speaker. I traded speaker cables at the amp and the noise went from the left channel to the right. It does this no matter which source I select. The noise varies in intensity and nothing I do seems to have any effect. This noise is also present in the headphones. I have never had this problem before. I tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in and I tried using a different electrical outlet. Any suggestions?

Do both channels still play at the same level or is the one with the noise lower in output? I have heard something similar and a fuse replacement took care of it. That may not fix your problem but it's a place to start.

My old RSX-1055 has developed an annoying issue, probably a year ago now, and it seems it won't fix itself What happens is there's occational crackling noise coming out of the left speaker. It's most prominent shortly after turning the unit on, and usually starts going away...

      Crackling noise from RDV-1060
      by fidex
I just bought a RDV-1060 and it was working fine for a couple of days until it started giving a crackling noise from the right front channel. It seems that the noise is level related, since it's mostly in the peaks of the music.
I took the player back to the store and got a replacement rdv-1060...

      RA-1062 noise floor

      Hi,

I own the RA-1062 and am very content with it's sound and mechanical quality. But, I have one problem with it: Driving my highly efficient horn-type speakers (102dB 1W/1m) it exhibits a soft but noticeable noise floor which is audible at my listening position about 10 ft from the...

      RA-1062 intermittent buzzing
      by dnn8350
Any experience with this? My new (one month) RA-1062, normally virtually silent in operation, has on two occasions about a week apart suddenly begun to emit a fairly loud buzzing or humming noise from the amp itself (i.e. not through the speakers). The equipment had been on for several hours and was...
