    1069 question

    Hello,

I'm the happy owner of a 1069 unit since dec,2007. I recently got a BR player, which send LPCM audio signal to the 1069 over HDMI.

My 1069 indicates "Multichannel 48 kHz" which, i supposed, is correct.

Except i have never got "96 kHz" instead of 48, whatever the BR disk i have played.

To be sure, i downloaded HD trailers, with DTS HD MA 96/24 audio, and it is the same : "Multichannel 48 kHz".

So i wonder why i can't get 96 khz with my unit. I'm missing something somewhere ?

    thanks

        HDI Dune BD Prime 3.0.

And i'm in 5.0, not in 7.1 but i suppose it has nothing to do with it.

Not very much audio settings are available in the Dune menu. Only 'bitstream' or 'PCM' selection (and of course, i selected PCM)

The Blu-ray audio setting may need to be set to PIP support rather then Best Quality.

You might want to check with them that the unit will actually send out higher resolutions.

It could be the player but you also said you "downloaded" these trailers. Not sure what you mean by that and how you are transmitting the hi rez audio but some BD players do not support 96k audio. I can confirm with the Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Blu-ray Dolby THD 96/24 track my 1069 shows 96k on the front with my Pioneer 23FD and Panasonic BD-60.

My earlier Sharp player could not support that track so it output it as 48k.
