    zone 2 question

Can I use an RMB-1075 for the center and surounds and use the front 2 channels from this 5 channel amp for zone 2 and use an RB-1080 for the main towers up front?

(watch a movie in one room 5 channels and 2 channel in the other?)

    :??

so the 5 channel amp can be used for 2 purposes at once. That might be my answer.

Sure. I've done things like that on more than one occasion. The amp doesn't "know" what speakers it's running and if they are in the same room or not.

RSX-1067 Zone Channels as Sub Amp for Gallo Ref3's?
          by methril
I'm having a tough time finding a quality crossover to filter the full range line-level signal from my receiver's pre-outs prior to running them through a separate 2-channel amp (NAD C370) to power the 2nd set of subwoofer voice coils on my Gallo Reference 3's. Guess I'll just have to wait for the Gallo...

Single vs Dual Channel Measurements, or why friends don’t let friend use USB mics
          by Reet
What does single channel or dual channel measurement really mean, and what are the implications of choosing one over the other? This document aims to help answer this.
Strictly speaking, a microphone is a single channel of audio input, in that it is a mono signal. USB microphones which include integrated ADC and USB codec can be considered a single channel device.

Dual channel would be a measurement which includes a second channel of signal input in addition to the microphone....

          Zone 2 question: RSP-1068/RMB-1077
          by rhubarbe
I am thinking about buying a Rotel RSP-1068/RMB-1077 combo, because I like the sound, respect the brand, and just as importantly, the price is right.

          The RMB-1077 is 7 channel and my setup is only five channel (3 x Polk lc265i and 2 x lc65i). I have a second zone (2 x Polk lc265i)...
