RSX-1058 video upscaling issues

Hello esteemed Rotel Club members,

I recently bought an RSX-1058 and am really excited about it. The sound is superb
and most features are working great. The video upscaling to HDMI, however, is not
working. I am connecting it to Pioneer PRO-530HD TV. It is a rear projection monitor
with DVI input. So I am using an HDMI->DVI cable to connect RSX-1058 to it. The
same TV port and the cable work great if connect it to PS3 HDMI output, but with
RSX-1058 all I get is flickers and no picture.

I have not been able to try it with any other TV. My question is: is this a known issue?
Is there any work around?

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Sounds like a digital rights issue. Are you using the latest firmware?

My experience is that Rotel makes great sound, but not so good picture, so the Rotel scaler should be set to the output of the player.

Before you update firmware, do you have the HDMI bypass installed?
