    RSX-1067 & RB-1080 or RSP-1068 & RB-1080

Hi all, another question here. I'm thinking about getting the RB-1080 because the RSX-1067 isn't doing that great to statisy my stereo need. The question is whether to sell the 1067 and purchase the RSP-1068 to couple with RB-1080 or just keep the 1067 and use it as the preamp for RB-1080?

Advantage of keeping is the extra speaker connections so that I can add on a center channel whenever i like. However, sacrifying sound quality for the center isn't something I'm willing to do. I have seen others use their receivers as a preamp but is there any differences?

    Thank you.

PS: which amplifier out there from Rotel do you guys think is comparable with the RSX-1067? Not the 1075 right?

The RSP-1068 might sound a little better than the RSX-1067 but not worth the move in my opinion. It's enough of a lateral move, and to not gain HDMI capabilities, doesn't seem worth it to me. If you went to an RSP-1069 that would be another story since it sounds better than the RSP-1068 and adds HDMI. It just costs more to do that.

          rsx1067 vs rsp1068/rb993/rb985mkII
          by JRambo
Hi, I recently read in a home-theater magazine that the Rotel rsx1067 was their first choice in the heavy-receiver class.. How will this receiver compare to a setup with rsp1068, rb993 and rb985mkII, when it comes to sound quality, as the price for these two setups will be about the same..

What to Buy: Rotel RSX 1067 or 1075/1068 combo
          by basementjack
Has anyone compared the big Rotel 1067 receiver to the 1068 preamp - paired with a 1075 power amp?

          I'm trying to decide between:

          RSX1067- $2100 - 7ch amp, tuner
          RSP1068/1075 - $2500 - 5ch amp, no tuner

the Preamp features are pretty much the same...

RSX-1067 or RSP-1068+1075/1095 for Def Techs??
          by nadroj81
          Hi all,

I am contemplating buying some new rotel gear, but not sure what i should spring for. My audio setup includes Def Tech BP2004TL for L/R and a 2002 C/L/R for center. My rear channels need to be upgraded from thier current garbage. I listen to about 50/50 HT/2 channel.
