    RSP-1570 Running Hot

I noticed that my 1570 after being on for a few hours is quite hot too touch on the top. There is about a 1 1/2 inch gap above it with open space behind and to the sides so plentry of venitlation. Does anyone know if this is normal? Ironically my 1095 never gets hot no matter how hard i run it. Nor does my primare pre30 pre-amp.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this experience with a 1570?

    cheers

It is. Mine does the same. My amps(1091,1092 and 1572) don't even get warm to touch after a similar period of time.

As I know that's normal. The cause behind is, that the 1570 doesn't use a fan for cooling. Therfore the case will be used for that. My old 1066 had the same problem and my new 1570 is also very hot after 2 hours.

      Regards,

The family and I gather round the 1570 when times are hard during the winter months.

If its really cold we'll put the plasma on too.

Your problem is you don't have two amps stacked directly on top of it..

The processors get hot, but I'm pretty sure mine gets hotter and no problems.

Yikes! I just realised yours must be a fire risk!
Love the comment welshone-gotta love english humour!-sorry i know your from wales.

Thanks for all your feedback guys. In the summer here it can reach 45c+ (113F) so hopefully it doesnt damage the 1570.

Mine gets only warm after much longer then that. But I have it at the top of my rack with around 3 feet of clearance over it

                  Hi,

                  my old rsp1068 made the same...the rb1092 & co. (class D no )....

try a HighEnd like Classe or others.... today a power ampli go around to 50° but in the past (10years ago) a Classe ampli was normaly with 70°!!!!

in the brochure you see always great pictures with preampli on the top (of the power ampli) but is only marketing :W

                    by Stevebez
Got all my kit in a now fan ventilated wooden cabinet. All units run at varying degrees of heat, the RSP1066 probably the hottest then the 1080 and then the 1075.

Was wondering what is too hot? Genrally the 1066 is pretty hot to the touch but not too hot to touch. I assume this is...

RSX-1055 - how hot does yours get?

Hi, I sent this email to Rotel support a while back and have not seen a reply, but I get a lot of spam so may have deleted it by mistake. Anyway I thought I'd run it past you guys to see if your units run as hot.

"I have a Rotel RSX-1055, roughly 20 months old and after a recent...

                    Rsp1570 Having Issues!
                    by Anovak
Received my new RSP1570 on Monday this past week and on Wednesday noticed something very strange happening.

When I played a CD in my CD player through an optical connection to the 1570, the first half-measure or so of the first song was cut off.....just sounded like it skipped the first...

RSX 1550 vs RSP-1570 for Pre Pro duties

For a long time, i've been considering replacing my RSP-1069 with the RSP-1570 or a RSP-1572, if I could find it at an obscenely low price which right, now I know is highly unlikely.

That being said, the likely scenario was the 1570, until recently, someone brought the RSX-1550 to my...

                    Hi folks,

I'm looking for a replacement remote for my RSP-1570 and its showing up as $150 on the parts store site, http://www.bwgroupusa.com/bwgroup-pa...e-control.html

                    vs. $21 for the RSP-1572 remote, RR-CX94 h...
