External 3.5mm IR Receiver for RSP-1069

What IR receiver will work with this processor?
No one in my area is a Rotel dealer any more.

    Thanks,

Any brand receiver will work, but you can't plug it directly into the 1069. You will need a connecting block and power supply to go with it. Then you can plug one of the emitter outputs into the 1069 with a 3.5mm mono cable.

If you're putting the receiver next to an LCD or plasma, be sure to buy one designed for that.

I have used 3.5mm stereo plugs for IR and it worked fine for me.

Correct, stereo plugs will work but you're still only using two of the pins. I was trying to distinguish the stereo plug from an IR receiver that needs to use all three pins.

But yes, if you have stereo cables handy, they will work fine.

          Hello,

After reading the forum for many months, I'm finally posting here for the first time. I have just upgraded the front L/R/C speakers of my HT to Dynaudio Audience 52SE's and 42C. I also have 3 small surround satellites and a subwoofer (6.1 system). I live abroad and will take advantage...

RSP1069 and low bass issue (long....sorry!)
          by roscoe62
          Hi all,

A few months ago I purchased a Rotel RSP1069 pre/pro to replace my aging Rotel RSP976. The main feature I wanted was the ability to process multi-channel PCM audio via HDMI. It took several months to get it integrated into my system, get the control side of things sorted out...

          RSP-1069 Bass Management
          by Ken49r
I just purchased a JL Audio F110 sub and want to set this up correctly with my RSP-1069 and B&W 805s.

Is it better to use the bass management from the RSP1069 or the separate controls on the F110?

So far, on the RSP1069 I set crossover at 80 and sub level in...

How to tell if the RSP1069 has the scaler bypass mod?
          by Ross1069
          Hi all,

I'm getting ready to upgrade from my, now ancient, RSP976 to the RSP1069. I have a dealer willing to do a really good price on the 1069, but I'd like to know if there's an easy way to tell whether the unit has had the video scaler bypass modification done or not.
