    Opinions on sound quality between Rotel RB-1080 and RB-1070?

    Hello all,

    Any thoughts on sound quality differences between a Rotel RB-1080 and a RB-1070?

    I will use the amp to drive a pair of B&W 703s.

      You should do a search, it's been covered by many people in your same situation.

      Bottom line, you should find you're going need the power and control the 1080 offers.

              Hi all,

              Can anyone tell me the difference soundwise between the RB1070 and the RB1080?

              At nearly double the price, does the RB1080 sound any better than the RB1070? (RB1080 = $1600 V's RB1070 =$900) Thats recommended full retail prices in Australia.

              we have a yamaha 2600 av receiver (130w * 7 @ 8ohms claimed) and look likely to be getting some b&w 705s with htm7 center for fronts. if at some stage we choose to to use the preout on the reveiver to power up the 705's, whats the most appropriate 2channel rotel amp to use...
