    Determining Value of Used Gear?

    Greetings all,
I am about to put a used speaker for sale (local Craigslist). It is a Vandersteen Model 1. Any suggestions on how to determine it's current used value? I have already searched Ebay.

Sorry for posting this here, but I figured Rotel users might have a clue about the answer.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I think MSRP new is about $1000 per pair, so that may provide a starting point not to exceed. You might try posting your question here:

The Polk forum is very active and they are into much more than just Polk. Good luck. Chris

Thanks very much for reply. Since my original post in this thread, I discovered www.audiogon.com, which has a very nice bluebook available by subscription.

      Take care,

Search vandersteen on audiogon. There is a IB there for $400.

          HTM3s Bluebook Value
          by stuofsci02
Does anyone know what the HTM3s bluebook value is for one that is in excellent shape. I have come across one used and would like to know what range I should be offering. The seller is asking $2300, and my gut is telling me $2000.

          Cheers!

          Hey Guys!

Have'nt posted in a long time, usually just reading the posts, but would like to hear you're thoughts on the RB1090. I have the 1098, 1095 & 1075, but would like a really strong 2 channel. I have a pair of Polk RTI 2000's for front and rear. The reason for 2 5 channel amps...

          hi guys,

first off - awesome site! I've been lurking for awhile now, and have enjoyed reading and learning very much.

here's my question - are speakers in the Statement series safe to blend with a Polk center channel?

I need to upgrade my front L/R speakers,...

Driver bandwidth and determining crossover frequency: Questions
          by dlneubec
According to Dickason, the general rule of thumb (of course there are exceptions) for the lower crossover limit for midrange and tweeters is to be at least 2x the FS of the driver, 3-4x is even better.

He also suggests that the upper level crossover for woofers and midranges should be...
