    RSP-1098 screen and inputs

    Hi all,

    I had an oppertunity to upgrade my rsp-1068 to a rsp-1098.

    I have all sources (xbox 360, Denon dvd-2900, satbox and popcornhour) component connected to the RSP and then to the beamer/plasma.

    In order to use the tft screen on the front, I also connected the composite connection to video 1. So my DVD is component and composite connected, both on Video 1.

    It all seems to work however with 1 problem. In case of the DVD, the composite video input seems the have priority and gets internally converted to component out. So on the component out, there is a converted composite signal, in stead of the original 576P signal.

    To solve this I have connected the component to video 2. Only now I have to manually switch the TFT screen to see the output.

    Anyone any idea how to solve this ?

      Shouldn't happen.. Did you remember to turn progressive on of the that input?

          I digged into the manual yesterday, and I have checked it is set to "all".

          I am gonna try again this evening....

              Does the screen ever go off?Can you set it to only be on for a short time like 10 sec after last IR command?Whats the deal with it being on all the time?

              Problems with the LG DV7832NXC through component

              Just purchased the LG DV7832NXC and cannot get it to work through component output! The screen is black and white, out of focus, and seems to be broken up into 4 sections(a faint cross is though the middle of the screen). I've tried the firware update but get the same problem.

              No problems...

              I bought a new DLP TV so I connected my 1060 with component directly to my HD TV set (previously I used SCART). My 1060 is connected to the 1098 with composite for use of the TFT screen. Here's the problem: when I set my 1060 to progressive scan my TFT screen goes haywire (all I see is horizontal disturbance)....

              I'm having a video problem with the RSP1098. I'm trying to figure out whether there is something wrong with the 1098, some incompatibility with my plasma monitor, or some bad mojo in my house. All ideas or experience with similar set-ups would be greatly appreciated.

              Hi guys,

              I just replaced my Denon 3802 with a Rotel 1066 yesterday, hooked up to a Rotel 1075 amp. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to it yet but so far it sounds awesome.

              I have a problem with my video connections though. I had no problems with the Denon 3802 so...
