    Rotel RSX 1055 Problem

    Hi everyone... I'm new to the forum.
    I have a Rotel 1055 and for the last 3 years its has worked perfectly. Last week it was muted and when I un-muted I got horrible feedback. I've un-hooked the components and done a factory re-set to no avail.

    Anyone had this problem? Or know a reputable repair shop in the Mississauga, Ontario area?

      Hmm, so with nothing connected you get noise through the speakers? Sounds like the DSP board may have went out. Warranty is 5 years, was this unit used?

          Yes Kevin, I bought it used from a Rotel dealer here. I contacted them and they suggested the system reset.
          Even with no components connected I still get the noise.
          If they don't warranty it would the DSP Board be an expensive fix?

              The DSP board is the heart of the unit, so yes it could be expensive. I would contact Rotel NA and explain the situation. They've been kind with used units before, and would be the best bet to tell exactly what went wrong.

                          I have a 1055 and my dsp board was defect, and it was covered with the 5 year guarantee...

                              My RSX-1055 sometimes reset to factory default preset, so I must reenter the parameters again.
                              I sent to Rotel service and after a month they returned me with no problem verification.
                              Anyone knows this problem?

                              I want to connect a Perpetual Technologies P1A/P3A DAC to the RSX.

                              How can I do this without the RSX adulterating the analog from the P-Tech's DAC?
