You need to get an antenna as high in the air as you can. Either a signal hits an antenna or it doesn't. A powered antenna doesn't "pull in" stations. Most of them have more gain so you can sometimes get a station or two that a regular antenna wouldn't but you stand the chance of getting more noise as well. FM signals, like TV signals, travel in a straight line from their towers. They don't bounce around like AM signals. That being the case, getting an antenna as high in the air as possible is the best for FM.

    Best of luck.

I recently noticed that my receiver does not detect dolby signal from the satellite correctly (for both OTA and DirecTV signals). For stations broadcasting in Dolby Pro Logic, I use the Dolby Pro Logic II Cinema mode, which should activate the center channel as well as the surrounds. The problem is...

I imagine there are not many of you receiving HDTV signals over the air, but if you do I'm wondering if you've had trouble with the programing guide. I have a Samsung SIR-T451 receiver that's attached to a roof antenna that's laying on the floor of my attic. Signal strength is pretty good for most...

When I went to setup to configure this input, no channels were found. have been unable to find anything at all in the Toshiba manual about this tuner and...

        Hey all,

Last week I watched golf on TV as I always like to do. I get my TV signals (DTV) over the air using an antenna I have situated on my roof. Well, upon turning the TV on, I get an excellent HDTV signal with no problems. At around an hour and a half in, the signal pooped out and...
