    For those stereo guys:

For those that complained, notice anything special about the new RC-1580?

If that is an HT bypass it must be remote operated only. Here's to hoping.

        Interesting...

I must say their new design looks a little like someone went crazy with polished metal and plastic. What is the deal with the treble knob alignment?

But, who really cares what it looks like. It is how it sounds that is everything.

Is there a estimated price for this bad boy?

The stereo stuff isn't going to be shown until CES, so I'm sure this is a pre-production unit. I doubt the treble knob will be mis-alligned in release versions.

Ah... but why have a graphic to show the tone bypass as being on when pushed in if you're going to give them an LED? Hmmmm...

Mebbe but there's nothing in the info/docs on either bypass. Besides, they do use the LED here: http://www.nicollpr.com/ROTEL/Files/...1082-Front.jpg

You are probably right about the knob, but it was just the first thing that caught my eye.

Anyone tested/auditioned the RC1580 preamp? Does it sound lean/bright?
I`m interested in this preamp as it has the "HT Bypass" feature

Connecting an equalizer to a RC1580 preamp
                      by Wassy
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can connect a graphic equalizer to a RC1580 preamp. If so how would it be connected? Tape 1 or tape 2 ? Not sure as there is no tape monitor button .

                      12v triggered power bars
                      by DeanP
Does anyone know if they make 12v triggered power bars?
I have a new/used Rotel amp coming but doesn't have the "12v trigger power on" on it. I want to have it come on automatically when I turn on my reciever. This way it makes it more WAF friendly with less buttons to push on just...

For those that ordered Silvercats! (Thomas, Brian)
                      by Lex
New photos up of current Silvercat product. I will admit, the former pictures were woefully out of date. These are actually some of you guys cables. I had to try out my new Nikon 5700 on them, and my my, I think those pictures are razor sharp!

Go here, use the drop down to Silvercats:...

which of those Classe's is best on the 802s?
                      by tmt
First of all my apologies! This is a question about amps - preamps, maybe I should have post this in the audio hideout forum, but since Classe seems to go together with B&W speakers I'll post it in this group.
note: all prices I mention are in euro, but you can substitute it for dollar....
