I don't seem to be able to get my Denon receiver and Rotel power amp to play nice together when I attempt to use the 12V trigger to power up the amp.
I have a Radio Shack 3.5 mono cable for the trigger cable. The cable goes from the Denon trigger out to the Rotel trigger in, as it should. When I have the trigger cable connected and power on the receiver, all of the protection LEDs on the front panel of the Rotel 1075 light up and then start flashing. It sounds as if the amp is turning on and off continuously. When I don't use the trigger, the amp works fine with the receiver.
What am I doing wrong??
ops: Is the Denon just sending out too much power over the trigger cable? (I can't seem to find any specs for the Denon trigger output voltage.)
