1066 question re: hiss and pop

Finally just finished my HT upgrade (for this month anyway), and I've got the 1066 now w/ the 195 amp and Paradigm Reference all around. Much to my dismay though, I am experiencing the popping sound from my speakers that was mentioned a little bit below. It happens whenever I change any of the settings in the OSD and whenever the processor has to auto-detect again. Also getting a fairly audible hiss from my speakers when no signal is present.

How many others have experienced these problems? Any suggestions or other ideas as to the cause? I emailed Rotel and, contrary to what their normal customer service seems like from this board, they were not very helpful and basically refered me to my dealer. Help?

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

    Chris

Yet another question about RSX-1067 hiss/pop
      by rotelnyc2
      Hey all!

I'm a first time Rotel owner, been eyeing the RSX since the introduction of the 1065. First off, I did find a good amount of info on the hiss/pop issue amongst the threads, but didn't find much info on my questions and issues specifically so I decided to start a new thread,...

      1066 Audio Question
      by Mats
      Folks,

Have got my Denon dvd-2200 connected to the 1066. The 2200 has multichannel analog and digital outs going to the 1066.

Whenever I power up the dvd player, I lose the audio to my satellite connection through the 1066. What is happening at this point? When I had my...

How well built is the RSX-1056?
      by george_k
I recently had my NAD receiver (T742) crap out on me at just a few months after the warranty expired (the processor-portion failed). Anyways, I've always had a few annoyances with the NAD that would appear to be quite common judging from discussions held on another forum.

      Specifically...

      1066 Question
      by Chris
This may be addressed below, so I apologize if this is redundant and/or just plain ignorant. In reading many of the threads below, I see that you can assign certain modes to certain input devices. My question is: does the 1066 have a setting for "Auto" or autodetect? I am using my dvd player...

RSP-1066/RMB-1075 Loud Pop - Amp cooked
      by paul2102
I have been enjoying my Rotel setup for 8 years. A few month ago, when I powered up my system to listen to music, I heard a loud pop, then smelled smoke coming from the 1075. One of my rear speakers was no longer working.

I finally go around to sending it off to Rotel for repair, but...
