I'm looking into buying a RB-1080 to be paired with my Klipsch RF-7s. I'm not rich and I was wondering what I should offer to my local dealer for one? Retail I believe is $1K, but I'm sure they have like a 20-30% markup. Any ideas what I should be paying? I don't want to pay too much, but I understand they have to make a living too and don't want to lowball anybody...It seems used ones are going from $600-700.

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the difference soundwise between the RB1070 and the RB1080?
At nearly double the price, does the RB1080 sound any better than the RB1070? (RB1080 = $1600 V's RB1070 =$900) Thats recommended full retail prices in Australia.

by Al KRecently purchased an RB1080 for my front speakers. Using an RSX1055 for the center and rear channels. Initially, the RB1080 caused a loud hum through my speakers. The dealer suggested using a 3 to 2 prong adapter with the AC cord. This eliminated the hum totally.
Upgrading to the RB1080 was well...
