    Rx-950AX stuck on standby

    Hey all...

    I just received an older model Rotel receiver from a friend and hooked up everything hoping to get my brand new (to me) receiver playing and alas...it seems to be stuck on standby. I've noticed that this seems to be an issue with some Rotel receivers in the 1000 series...but has anyone ever encountered this with this or a model similar to this one. Did my friend just pawn a piece of broken crap on me...do I need to give him a load of crap back?

    Any tips, guidelines or amusing posts about my crappy friend and poor luck are appreciated.

      Got home tonight and found that my 1068 would not power up out of standby mode. I cycled the on/off switch on the back of the unit a few times with no luck. I disconnected the power cord and waited a few minutes and still no luck. Is there something else I can try OR is it ship it to the repair center...
