    Thoughts on 1092?

Someone recommended the RB 1092 to me. Does anyone have any experience with this Amp? I would like to drive B & W 803D. My dealer does not carry this model in stock, & I am a little weary to buy without hearing first.

I've had one since it came out. My previous amp was a RB-1070. The RB-1092 improved upon it many times over. A friend brought over his RB-1090 and we did a comparison. The 1090 owner preferred the 1092 - I kept my opinion to myself. I chose the 1092 because I had space limitations and still wanted more than the 1080 could deliver. My pre is a RC-1090 which works well with my amp. I use them to power my B&W N804 so I feel it will do very well with the 803D. Lots of juice to feed those speakers.

Hi. I have just bought a 1092 as the first part of replacing my 5 channel Meridian G55 amp. I use Dynaudio Contour speakers. It is currently driving the L/R and I am very very pleased. It sounds very much the same as the Meridian except it has a lot more control over the Bass. I will be getting a RB1091 for the Centre shortly then a Rb1072 for the rears after that.

I am sold on the Class-D thing

Thanks for the feedback. I am leaning towards the 1092. I can't wait to hear it connected up to those B & W's

            I did it: RB-1092 + B&W XT4
            by Frankster72
            hi,

like some here in the forum said the B&W XT4 speakers need a very powerful amp. I didn't want to belive my 2x 125 watts in stereo class-D amp (rmb-1077) won't be sufficient.

so I organized an rb-1092 amp. when connected behind the preprocessor rsp-1069. the xt sound...

            Hello all,

I went to the shop a few days ago, hoping to get a replacement for my 705. I have always wanted a 805 because when I first listen to them a few years ago, it was "WOW"... Somehow, now the 805s doesn't sound as good as I heard it back then. So i listened to 804s and...

            802D/803D bi-amped with Rotel RB-1092 (or RB-1090)
            by Mark-n-b
            I am building a 5.1 system for 50% movies, 50% music (both 5.1 and 2.0), and I am thinking of 4×802D & HTM1D or 4×803D & HTM2D - I have not decided yet.
I was thinking of running these with 5×Rotel RB-1092 in Bi-Amp configuration - the reason being that I cannot afford the entire outlay...
