I am considering buying B & W 803D's. I have a Denon 4308 home Theatre system. I am not sure it will properly drive these speakers. If I connected a RB 1080 to just these 2 speakers would I get proper performance. The othr option would be to bi-amp RB 1072's. Any suggestions.

Before you do the bi-amping, I'd recommend getting an RB-1092 instead of two RB-1072. Yes it costs a bit more, but will give you probably a better result.Originally posted by borotyI am considering buying B & W 803D's. I have a Denon 4308 home Theatre system. Personally I think that one better and more powerful amp makes a difference over two cheaper, less powerful amps, yes. But that is just my personal experience (not with Rotel equipment though).Originally posted by borotyI was told by my B & W dealer that the bi-amping would make a noticeable difference. You thing the additional power of the 1092 will more than offset the bi-amping?- Bottom

Since you are asking essentially the same question over in the B&W forum, I'll toss in that the 803s are great speakers, and I currently have them running on Classe (CA2200, CP700, and CDP102). No complaints. I am sure the 803Ds are better, but am happy with that $3000 difference in my pocket at the moment. Upgraded from Denon to Rotel (and from 804 to 803), and then to Classe. The improvement has been expensive but satisfying.- Bottom

by borotyI am in the process of buying a new home system. I love the 803D's and and debating between them & 803s. However, I want to be able to amply drive them. If I go with a Classe system, my budget forces me to downgrade speakers. What I would like to do is hook up a Denon 4308 with either a Rotel...-

by TacoI posted a question here not long ago about biamping my B&W 802's with my 1095 and a new 1080. Someone made the suggestion to see how I liked biamping from my 1095 before purchasing the 1080. Well,
I finally got around to trying it by using my L and R and L Rear and R rear on my 1095 to...-
