    Problem with new RSP-1069

    Hi guys,

New Rotel buyer here. Just picked up an RSP-1069 and RMB-1077. I spent 3 hours trying to hook up the components and have been rewarded with no audio or video.

I'm pretty sure I have the 1069 and 1077 hooked up correctly, and all the speakers are correctly connected to the 1077. No protection light comes on.

I have an Onkyo DVD player (DV-SP405) hooked up to the 1069 using s-video to the s-video in 1 port. Digital cable box is hooked up to the 1069 using s-video to the s-video 2 port. I am using RCA cable for audio from the DVD and cable box to the RCA ports in "video in". S-video from "mon out" to the TV. I have an old EDTV Akai, obviously with no HDMI capability.

I can get no audio or video. Can't even get the 1069 menu onscreen.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Can anybody help?

    Many thanks.

You have to assign the Rotel inputs to look at the svideo jacks for the video. That does require you to get into the setup menu. Are you hitting the AUD button before hitting the MENU/OSD button?

Missed your PM because it was 2am - why don't you try a composite connection to the TV to at least get your menu / OSD showing first?

            RSP-1069 Bass Management

I just purchased a JL Audio F110 sub and want to set this up correctly with my RSP-1069 and B&W 805s.

Is it better to use the bass management from the RSP1069 or the separate controls on the F110?

So far, on the RSP1069 I set crossover at 80 and sub level in...

            Hi all,

A few months ago I purchased a Rotel RSP1069 pre/pro to replace my aging Rotel RSP976. The main feature I wanted was the ability to process multi-channel PCM audio via HDMI. It took several months to get it integrated into my system, get the control side of things sorted out...

How to tell if the RSP1069 has the scaler bypass mod?
            by Ross1069
            Hi all,

I'm getting ready to upgrade from my, now ancient, RSP976 to the RSP1069. I have a dealer willing to do a really good price on the 1069, but I'd like to know if there's an easy way to tell whether the unit has had the video scaler bypass modification done or not.

Rotel RSP-1069 VS McIntosh MX119 Processors
            by scanido
            Hey All,

Need advice from the trusty board. Currently I have a Rotel RSX-1057 and am using as my Processor powering my MAC MC205. With a budget of $3000 I can get either the RSP-1069 or a used MX119.

I will be connecting the processor to my PS3 via HDMI for the RSP1069...
