Hi, can someone explain to me how to change from one source to another source using the remote. I usually have to press each source button on the unit itself because its just quicker. The only way I can figure out how to change from say DVD to CD to TUNER etc.. is by going into the OSD which I find to slow and requires me to turn on my TV. There must be a way to just press the buttons on the remote to change from one source to another. When I press the buttons on the remote nothing happens, the display on my 1066 stays the same meaning if its on cd and I press Tuner on remote it wont change. Please help. Obvious Newbie. Thanks

Do you hold the button down, for more than a second? My 1057 you have to actually push and hold the button, not just push. Maybe it is that simple...Ted

Hi Ted, I tried that but it doesn't work either. I guess thats one of the drawbacks with this unit or remote. Thanks for your suggestion.

I have the 1066 with the RR-969 remote.
I have never had a problem with source switching using the remote.
But, I think you must be in the 'AUD' mode to use it for source selection.
Only other thing I might recommend is, putt it a fresh set known good batteries.

If someone has accidentally over-written the source selection buttons, you might need to do a reload on the remote. Holding the button down (on any mode) for 2-3 seconds should do it on any remote on any unit.

In some instances when I press the off button on the remote to turn off the RSX 1056 the unit wont turn off. When I then press the reset button on the remote and press the off button again the unit turns off. Any ideas why it wont turn off in the first instance? -
I loved my 1066 from day one.
What I didn't love was the unacceptable signal recognition delay that ranged from 1 second to up to 12 minutes before the unit would recognize a signal, decode it and begin playing it. I also didn't love the occasional "pop" that would happen at... -
Would anyone be interested in faster volume ramping? If so, I may be able to help, that is if you have a Philips Pronto or equiv. I modified the remote code, so that it basically repeats quicker. Also, I got rid of the code's repeater frame. So if in the middle of ramping, the IR signal gets blocked,... -
Just curious if anyone else has experienced the same glitch as I have with the RT-1080 tuner + 1068 remote (RR-1050). I don't suspect there is any fix for it, but doesn't hurt to ask.
I blank out the display of the RT-1080 tuner by holding down the "display" button on the tuner...
