I presently have an rsx1056 which i really like.But no hdmi and the simplicity of hdmi has me thinking.Can i get into seperates as an uograde to what i have now for approx. 2,000.I figure if i sell my rsx1056 i would have approx 2,000. budget.I presently have a direct tv dvr and a tosh hd player which could use the hdmi video/audio performance everyone is talking about.Even another receiver would do if it would be an upgrade to the rotel.The rsx1058 would of been an easy solution but i just think it's way over priced.Used mkt is a definate consideration.what do you guys think.can i do this if so what options do i have.If i'm better off staying with the 1056 until i have a significant better budget then by all means tell me,because i can wait if i have to.I just dont know enough about seperates.Another reason is i have a dvda/sacd player which i continue to use and is via my analogs,which is another reason for the hdmi simplicity.thanks

I have a turntable that i would like to use w/the rotel.I know that i would need a phono amp.My question is where would i connect the phono amp to on the rotel.Right now the functions on the remote are pretty used up.I have sat/hdtv to v1,dvd to v2,vcr to v3,playstation to v5, v4 is not being used right... -

I would to upgrade to a receiver with HDMI 1.3 so I could play lossless out of my Blu-ray machine.
