A Tale about RB 1090 power consumption

I just installed a new Belkin Pure AV power filter/surge suppressor which shows voltage and amps being used in real time. How many amps do you think the 1090 uses at a 80db listening level which is fairly loud? Everything is plugged into the Belkin to include a large Velodyne sub. Total amps being used is 2.0 and the 1090's share is .5 amps. I don't know about you, but that surprised me. Caveat. I am powering very efficient Klipsch RF-7 speakers. No wonder the 1090 runs only luke warm on my system.

Next step: get a dedicated 20 A circuit and run 40 pairs of RF-7s all on 1090s!

      There's a reason for a 20 A outlet if I ever saw one...

Everything "IS" on a 20 amp dedicated.

I was running the 1090 directly out of the wall. But it now sounds better plugged into the Belkin where everything else is plugged. I have read accounts where some folks have large voltage variations throughout the day and night. Mine is almost always the same at 121 .5 volts while playing music. Not playing music with power off to all but my CD player it's 123.3 volts. Another good surprise. Power cables to the house are 18 years old and underground.

          1055 power consumption
          by Glenn
The power consumption listed for the RSX-1055 is 450 Watts.

          Two questions:

          1. Is the 450 Watts consumption rated when the amps are at peak operating levels (ie a full blast dynamic musical passage or explosion scene in a movie)?

          2. Could anyone hazard a...

          My review of Rotel RB-1090
          by KathyMason
I did this review for the Klipsch forum of how wonderful
the Klipsch RF-7 and Rotel RB-1090 sound together.
The Rotel RB-1090 is a superb amp with the Klipsch
RF-7. Klipsch are very revealing speakers with any
shotcomings from an amp and the Klipsch will let you
          know...

          A Tale of Rotel Woe...
          by Nick Danger
Hello Everyone. This is my first post, and I'm sad to say it is a tale of woe and misery.
I purchased the RSP 1068 and RMB 1095 at the end of December 2003 from a local dealer. This was my first foray into separates, having found my Yamaha V1400 lacking in power to drive the rear channels. For...

          New RDV-1090
          by spiffnme
The new RDV-1090 is Rotel's first truly "universal" player. Able to reproduce high-resolution multi-channel and stereo recordings with state-of-the-art quality playback not only with DVD-A, but also SACD discs. "We prefer to take a 'wait and see' approach to new technologies. We've waited...

          Belkin PureAV PF30
          by JeremyG
I've been looking for a power conditioner/suppressor for some time, but can't commit. I hear a few people here use the Belkin PureAV PF60's. Anybody use the PureAV PF30? It looks like it may have most of the same features. Amazon has a killer deal on it right know. I guess my concern is if it uses...
