    2 amps / 2 different speakers?

    Hello All,

    What match up is the best:

    AMPS: Rotel RB-986 MKII / Rotel RBM-1075

    SPEAKERS: B&W P2 / Paradigm Ref Studio 100's V2

    Both amps will be used for 85% movies / 15% music

      I don't think you'll go wrong with either Rotel. Get the newer 10 series if the price is right.

      I've always been partial to Paradigms speakers and just upgraded to Studio100s V4 from some Monitor 9sV5.

          The 985 is running the paradigms now. While wanting for my interconnetion cables, I thought about switching the 985 with the 1075. But i'll use the 1075 with the B&Ws.

              have denon 3802 rotel991 and 985 power amps, not really getting the improvement i was looking for rotel powers vs 3802 with 2 channel sterio with b&w cdm1nts, rather than sell denon at a loss and purchase say 1066 processer, all more money,

              his reply 1075 was (1075 is a more refined sound than 985)

              I bought the RSP 985 a couple of weeks ago.Had some trouble in the beginning with it, but now everything is okay.I loaned a 1066 from a dealer to compare the 1066 vs 985 (have the RMB 1075).I calibrated it and then the listening begun.I listend to my favorite cd's that i know well.And they sounded awful...

              Given the option of purchasing a Rotel RB 985 MKII (5x110) and a Rotel 991 (2x200) used for $1100

              OR

              The RB 1075 (120 x5) and the RB 1080 (200x2) at closer to $1600 (still used)

              Which should I do? What are the major differences between the older and newer...
