The 1066 will work in that situation but with limiations. At low volumes you can get by but if you like it loud then you will have issues. The 100's are much better off with at least something like the 1075 or higher. Even though you can bridge the 1066 I wouldnt with the studio's. One option is to get a 2 channel amp for the fronts and use the 1066 for everything else. If you dont have 7.1 and/or a second zone you could some of the channels to bi-amp the center channel.

I wouldn't try to run Studio100's with that amp. I sell Paradigm and the Studio100 is a tough speaker to run. I would say at least the RB-1070 or better for those. The RMB-1075 will work as well but that is as small as I'd go. A two channel amp like the RB-1070 will work better.

RB985 or RMB1066, which to keep?

        Hi all

A long time ago I bought a RSP970 pre-amp and RB985 5x100 power-amp, which I have used for a while and been pretty happy with.

However the pre-amp didn't do do anything digital or proper 5.1 surround, so I decided to upgrade it. I found on ebay someone who was selling...

I am a little confused about the RMB-1066. Judging by its name it should be the intended match to the RSP-1066. However, no single post I have found mentioning the RMB-1066. All owners of the RSP-1066 seem to use a RMB-1075.

Even Rotel lists its power-amplifier in the cateogry of "Distribution...

I'm also new to the forum and must say..."Rotel or bust"...
Ivhung is motivating me to ask this question. I am currently driving Boston VR2 (bi-wired @ 4ohm) with RC1070/RB1070 pair with Boston PV500 sub using the secong line-level outs of the pre-amp. It KILLS!!

I have a much happier tale to bring you all today!

I contacted Doug at Catcable, looking for interconnects for my system. I had been considering and researching alternatives to the cables that I bought when I purchased the Rotel equipment.

        Subsequent to buying the Rotel...

Although I certainly understand that this might not be the appropriate forum to ask this question, I figured that all of you have had experience with other brands of separates. So, here goes:

I auditioned the Rotel RC1070/RB1070 preamp & power amp running both a pair of Paradigm Reference...
