Static on one channel of a 1050?

I have static sound coming out of one of my speakers. Any thoughts on what's going on?

Did you try swapping the cords to see if the static follows the swap or stays with the speaker. If it stays with the same speaker, it's the speaker, if not could be something in the 1050.

I'd also try swapping the ICs and seeing if the static sound follows or stays the same. That way it would narrow it all down to pre/pro or amp or speakers. :T

I should start out saying the static was coming from my left rear surrond. Channel 1 on 1050 cb1 on 1066. I took the ic from my center(hooked to 1075) and pluged it into the cb1 and I got static. Then I took my center ic(from 1075) and pluged it into my channel 1 on 1050 and it worked. That means it's in the 1066. Right?

Something on the board for the outputs is causing it within the 1066. I can't remember if the 1066 can have the board pulled and inspected (I don't believe it's set up like the 1098)...but the best thing to do would be call Rotel/Your Dealer and have them look at it.

          Help - RSX-1055 / RB-1050 - redirect feature
          by dmcgowan
Just relocated my gear in our living room and I'm having a bugger of a time to get the redirect to work again. I used to have the RB-1050 driving the front left and right channels but decided that it would be better to use the RB-1050 for the 2 x centre back channels.

          Sure it is all connected...

Hi all. I've been lurking for a while, thanks for the help on past posts. Until today I've been very happy with my Rotel/Totem system. Until today...

I'm seeing a weird problem on the LED display of the RX-1050. Basically, as I switch inputs (or REC source, or Zone source), the appropriate...

          Hi all,

Just purchased my new addition. After 1,5 hours of extensive comparisson between the RDV-1060 and the RDV-1050, I took home the RDV-1050:

Selection method could not have been more perfect as I brought with me the same movie twice, connected both players to the same...

Problems with 1050 and 1060 DVD players...
          by caleb1995
...has anyone noticed that when playing a CD in the 1050, when the skim left button is pressed, it first jumps ahead about 20 seconds in the song before starting to skim backwards? Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a unit that does NOT do this?

Also, with the 1060, has anyone...

RDV-1050 not the way to go?
          by weijst
          Hi all,

I'm currently considering selling my M*r*ntz DV6400 in order to get a Rotel DVD player to match the rest of my gear, thus the 1050 (or 1060). However, a phonecall to Rotel resulted in the following comment:
"Not only is the step from a DV6400 to a 1050 not worth it,...
