    Rotel power amp voltage change

    Greetings,

    I am planning on getting a RB-1080 (or RB-1090 if I can find one) from US and using it in the 230V-land.
    Does anyone know of a shop in southern California that has experience with Rotel voltage conversions ?
    I prefer not to go to Rotel because of the time it will take shipping both ways in addition to the actual service time.

      I believe Rotel uses autoformers in there amps so all they would have to do is change the tap for the primary, and any competant hi fi (botique) shop should be able to do this for you. I would avoid the "chain store" repair centers.

          I'm doing the same for a RMB-1095. I contacted the local importer, who recommended a shop that can do the job. I think it's about a 30-60 min job.
