Musical Fidelity A5 Preamp Phono Section

Hey guys, I was wondering if the phono section of my MF A5 pre would handle a low output moving coil cartridge? Cartridge would be a Dynavector Karat 17D. Thanks.

    Hi Delray,

I thought you were thinking of selling your MF A5cr Pre Amp. Anyway what do you think of the sound quality of the A5 Pre?

Do you listen to much R'n'B music through this amp eg Usher,Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige etc and what do you think of it?

Have you also got the matching MF A5cr Pwr amp?

    Thanks

    Yas

If your talking about the A-5 integrated amp, I don't think so. To the best of my knowledge MM or HO MC only.

        Hello Dave,

I think Delray meant the A5cr Pre amp. Do you own the A5 Integrated amp?

What is your own personal opinion on it's sound quality?

        Bye
        Yas

Hi yas. I did have this up for sale, but I was kinda testing the water. If it sold cool, if not cool. But I've decided to keep it now. As long as the phono pre is up to it. I don't have the A5 power amp. I'm currently using a Bryston 4B-ST.
