    amp to receiver ?

I recieved my amp a sunfire 300x2 which i'm going to connect to my rotel rsx1056 next week.My question is once the amp is connected do i need to do anything within the reciever settings. Not referring to speaker calibration but would i need to turn off the main speakers off within the rec. since they'll be coonected to the amp.Or will the amp automatically take care of the mains.sorry if it's a silly question but i've never connected or used an amp to rec. before.thanks

Are you sticking with a 5.1 speaker system or moving to a 7.1 system? Are you going to use any of the receiver amps to power speakers in a second zone?

If you are sticking with a 5.1 system then there is nothing you need to do. Just connect the new power amp to the preamp outputs, connect the speakers to the new amp, recalibrate the system, and you're done.

There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to powering speakers!

1098 & Analog audio out (rec out) Case closed
          by Jonas78
          Hi,
Im wondering if there might be a problem with my 1098. When I connect a audio source on the anolog audio I get the sound through the speakers, as I should. But when I connect something like the TV audio input to the Analog out (rec out) I get sound from the tv but it's extremely low. Now...

I need to replace a Pioneer elite rec with something new. Looking to spend $1800 tops. I can either go with an integrated receiver/amp or separates. Installation is in an equipment closet mounted rack. I am driving Paradigm 60 Studio Reference front channels and Paradigm Studio Ref cc-570 center....

Can I use XLR to connect RSP1582 to amp and RCA to connect RSP1582 to sub?
          by Mikez
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm contemplating getting a Rotel RSP 1582 preamp that has XLR outs so that I can connect my preamp to my amp using XLR's (balanced connection). Would it be possible to use RCA (unbalanced) out to connect my sub, a Vandersteen V2W, while at the same time connecting...

Help, how to connect Musical Fidelity X-can and RSX-1056
          by Vicente
I just bought a Musical Fidelity X-Can V3 and Senheisser HD650 headphones that seems to be a winner pair, but I have some problems to find the correct conections.

Following the manual I plugged the MFX-Can (line in) to the Tape-Out outputs of the RDX-1056.

          As it says in...

Technical Question: Pre Amp into Power Amp
          by NMyTree
          Hi.

I have question regarding output voltage of my Vincent Hybrid SA-T1 Pre Amp. Is that the right term?

I'm wondering if my SA-T1 has enough or adequate juice to be matched up with my Butler TDB 2250 Hybrid Power amp?

I don't know much about these...
