Help me spend $1800 on rec/amp

I need to replace a Pioneer elite rec with something new. Looking to spend $1800 tops. I can either go with an integrated receiver/amp or separates. Installation is in an equipment closet mounted rack. I am driving Paradigm 60 Studio Reference front channels and Paradigm Studio Ref cc-570 center. I would like to drive them with at least 120wpc. (front's can be biamped using the rear surround channel if receiver allows). Sub is a self powered Paradigm servo 15.

I would prefer a warmer sound.

Looking at Pioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi, Denon AVR-3808CI (or higher model if I can get a good deal).

I was also playing with the idea of a Anthem MCA 3 or MCA 5 amp used or Rotel RMB 1075/1095. But no idea what preamp to run.

    Suggestions welcome.

    Thanks.

First of all Welcome to HT Guide Boris :welcome:

The Bryston 4B rates pretty well in that budget. I would try the Rotel 1080 (2 channel) or 1095 (5 channel and bi-amp). Also check out Outlawaudio, they have very good equipment and good prices. Best advice you just need to go listen and let your ear be the judge after all it is your $$$. Just my quick thoughts, hope this helps.

    Peace and blessings,

Pairing Rotel 1056 Receiver w/ Anthem MCA 20 Amp
      by scient
I have been considering a seperate two channel amp for my front Paradigm 100's for a while now and I am undecided between the Rotel RB1080 and the Anthem MCA 20. Both are 200Wpc, 2 channel amps.

      My concerns are:
      1. Since the 1056 will still power the center and rear speakers,...

I hope to add a Home Theater (Movies and TV 90% and Musis 10%) and a Rec Room area (Movies and TV 50% and Musis 10%) A/V system. I've considered a number of options, and now hope to listen to a Wilson based system this week (Watt Puppy 7 and Sophia / Watch Center), after having focused on B&W...

What do you think would be a better match, Anthem MCA 20 or ROTEL 1080? Would appreciate any advice. I have heard the Anthem/Paradigm S2 combo....was good but slightly "bright" Would appreciate any advice.
