Send Audio over Tape OUT output?

I have a sirius radio hooked up to my Rotel.
I am using the TAPE IN analog connection.
I want to send the audio to my computer so I can record programs.
I tried hooking up analog cable runs from the TAPE OUT connection and I get no sound (?)

I then tried to get sound from the video outputs and I couldn't.

How do I send the audio out of the rotel to a record device?

You have to set the REC-OUT to the input you want to record. Due to feedback issues, you can't send an input to the same output. IE, the source going to the TAPE-IN will never be available on the TAPE-OUT. You will have to use of of the video record outs.

You should be able to hit the REC button on the front, then TAPE.
