I found a used RB-1070 amplifier on Audiogon for $400, which retails new for $699. Does this sound like a fair price? Is there anything to be cautious of buying a used amplifier - given the seller has good reviews?

As long as it's in good physical shape and the person has good feedback, then it sounds like a good deal. Just ask questions like why they are selling it and has it been repaired before to make sure you're comfortable with it.

I bought my RB 1070 used off audiogon for $450. It was a year old and in MINT condition. I would say if the one you are looking at is in good shape then $400 is a fair price. BTW I love my RB 1070, it makes my polks sing way better than just my reciever alone did. Cheers.Comment
