Is anyone currently using an RMB-1075? I am considering adding one to my second system in the basement bunker. It will be power B&W 700 series speakers. Acoustic treatments are a mustard yellow shag carpet and various shades of brown walls.

With those brown walls you may need an RMB-1095. -
Heh.. What 700's are you going with? The 1075 will give you good performance for the money, but if you are getting the 703's you might need the 1095.

My primary system is 803S, HTM3s, and 805S with Audio Research amps. This is a secondary system with 703 in the basement. The problem with the 1095 is cost. It cost about twice as much as the 1075. I am having a hard time justifying the cost to upgrade from a receiver to separates considering how little the system gets used. It is also used at relatively low levels. If the 1075 is a nice sounding amp I would consider it, but if it doesn't perform, I don't think I want to make the investment to make the next step.Comment

Given the circumstances, I think you will be fine with the 1075. The 1095 would give you that extra headroom for dynamic loud passages, which I don't think you will see.

I really like the price point of the Rotel 1075. How does this perform compared to the Parasound Halo amps? I saw the article about Oliver Stone using Parasound. They have a price increase similar to the Rotel.s 1095 On paper I can't tell the difference. They both have manipulated the information sheet so you can't get a straight line comparison. I think the Halo has a much sexier appearance. It provides the same power as the 1075 Rotel.Comment

parasound has separated the wattage and THD ratings (so you don't know at what wattage the THD was quoted and vice versa) ... something rotel proudly shows in its specs.
that said, the HALO amps look real nice.
one more thing, I believe that while the HALO and Rotel 2 channels are comparable in price, the HALO 5 channels are way more expensiveComment

I have RSP1068/RMB1075 kombo and i have connected Front Left/Right as usual... but what happens if i connect zone 2 Left/Right output to RMB1075 Left/Right surround and bi-amp the speakers?
