My gut feeling would say they would be really close to the same. Plus if you were looking new, the 1055 is currently on hiatus due to poor quality laser assemblies. It should return in a few months with a different pick-up and some new abilities (MP3 discs, etc).

Can you give more detail on the 1055 issues? I bought one last year but haven't had any issues to date - have not used it much, maybe 1 shuffle of 5 disks/weekend.Comment

From my understanding, it was a trend in the recent batches that the pickup's were highly unreliable. Rather then fight a loosing battle they just pulled the unit and sourced a new assembly. Units over 4-6 months old shouldn't have an issue.

Does the Rotel RCC-1055 5 CD carousel offer no repeat shuffle for all 5 CDs? The spec sheet does not say. What other random modes are available. Thanks. -
I am strongly considering Rotel for my new HT setup due to the numerous positive reviews I read about it. Currently, my plan is to run Paradigm Studio 60 fronts, Studio CC and Studio ADP surrounds using either a Rotel 1066 + 1075 set-up or a 1055 set-up in a 25’ x 20’ room.

I guess I'd like to hear/learn advices/experiences from those who have gone this route.
That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.
