does the rmb-1075 show the manufature date on them or can you tell through the serial number. dumb question i just want to make sure its as old as they say

I believe there's a date algorythm in the serial number, but couldn't tell you how to decode it. I'll do a search as I think there was a thread on it before.

I found the thread. It was a possible theory that didn't pan out. If you call Rotel they should be able to tell you the era it was made (if not the exact month).
Are the binding posts clear or colored? If the 1075 followed trend with the 1095 and 1080, colored binding posts would mean at least 3-4 years old.

Is there a way to get a date of manufacture from the serial number. I was reading the 200Mhz video thread. And looking up my serial number.

Ok. I cannot get to the back of my amps but I need to know the serial numbers.
I can get to the boxes and I assume they have the serial numbers on them.
On each box there are 2 bar coded numbers - top one quite long with alphas bottom one not so long and lacking alphas.
