Will the RSX 1055 switch HD 1080i component signals without limiting bandwidth?

The second version should have the bandwidth, for HD 1080i.
After Firmware 2.x the 1055 should be able for HD in 1080i.
Can somebody please verify my suggested statement?

For the most part yes. Some 1.xx could have had the board upgraded and some early 2.xx didn't have the new board.
That said, I've never noticed a loss of quality on all the one's we have out out there that are running the old board.

I have been getting conflicting stories on the component video input bandwidth for the RSX-1055. My receiver is only a month old. The Rotel website on the FAQ page states that some of the newer models go up to 200MHz to support HDTV. Has anyone heard of this or have a model that has this upgrade?... -
