    Receiver/Preamp/Amp for Mirage?

    Hello.
I have a question for you all....
    My speakers:
    Mirage OM5 (Front)
    Mirage OMC2 (Center)
    Mirage FRX9 (Surr)

What kind of Receiver/Preamp/Amp should i buy ?

I'm looking for a (Receiver/Preamp/Amp) which sounds great both in stereo and home cinema.

Since I bought the Mirage OM5, I want some equipment that really gives me the "magic" from these speakers....

Are the RSX-1067 or the (RSP-1068 + amp) the best thing for me ?
(I think the RSP-1098 are too expensive) Or should I look at other rotel products ?

Which other brands than rotel supplies the best sound with Mirage OM5 ?

    Migen,

I actually own the Mirage OM-7's, and I am currently running the RSP-1098, RB-1080, and RMB-1095. It really depends on your budget and needs, if you wish to go with separates or the receiver route, regardless I would definitely recommend the RB-1080 to drive the OM-5's, it made a significant difference acoustically for me.

    Options:

    1) The 1056 (receiver) to drive the rears and the RB-1080 for the fronts.

    2) The 1068 (pre/pro), RMB-1075 (driving the rears), and the RB-1080.

The Rotel combo drives the Mirages very well, but I can't emphasize enough that you will need the 1080 to drive those OM-5's.

I am a very happy camper. I would however, listen to your own ears and test what sounds good to you, some retailers will let you sample the equipment in your home before purchase.

    Hope this helps,

    Azeke

I too have my OM-7's driven by the RB1080 (+ RSP1098 and RMB1095) and I agree totally with Azeke. Before I bought the Rotel gear I had a Denon AVC-A11SR and the sound difference is amazing. Almost beyond words. If I were you I go for the separates.

      Good luck in choosing.
