    Broken Remote for RSP-1066

    The batteries leaked and corroded the springs on my remote control. Is there
    any way of accessing the OSD via the front panel?

    Or is there any software I can download to my Pocet PC device to control
    the system? I realise the infared is not powerful on this - but I only need
    to make one change, so do not mind standing in front of the unit to do
    this.

      Aside from the remote there's no other way to get in the menu. If you can find software for your pocket pc that allows you to drop in HEX IR codes, they are available on Rotel's site.

      As for the remote, it shouldn't have caused enough damage a good cleaning with baking soda won't fix.

          It does not work unless completely power off 1066 at front panel.

          hi Guys

          my much cared for Rotel rsp1066 which gets minimal use now wont switch on via the ON button on the supplied remote, I need to switch it on manually. Further when I update the OSD with Input names and switch the unit off, the names disappear. This never used to happen..

          Argh so annoying. Remote is WORKING, its on, but it wont send a command to the RSP1066. I've reset the unit and now my mains are set incorrectly and the sub is on. Problem is, the OSD isnt working to allow me to change this
