    Sorry, but you lose again.

Dolby Digital at 448 kb/s offers ruler flat frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz. There is some channel coupling above 18kHz, but this does not affect overall frequency response. DD at 576/640 kb/s is flat from 20Hz to 20kHz with all channels fully discrete (no channel coupling).

    No kewpie doll for you.
Sorry but I think you lose it too cause no prove that DD is better. Its just words that you type in, show me the prove man. And why dont you mention the fact DD does not have discreet 6.1
Kewpie doll dont need it anyway.

Ok guys I think we've come to the point where you'll have to agree to diagree. I'm all for intelligent debate but let's agree that they both have their +/-'s and that like most things in the audio world they're very subjective. OK

There is nothing subjective about measured frequency response of an audio signal. There is nothing subjective about how a given compression codec acts at various bitrates. These are documented scientific data, not subjective listening to a DVD in someone's apartment in Singapore.

Agree to disagree? Sure. We can agree that "zeppelin" hasn't got a clue what he is arguing about.

First, I meant that people's opinions on everything are subjective. A Ford might have more power and get better gas mileage then a Chevy but I'm still allowed to prefer the Chevy for my own varrying reasons.

          Second, re:

I don't like to lock threads etc so let's try to keep this civilized. I have great pride in HTGuides friendly and helpful atmosphere, I will not allow that to be compromised.

I don't think it matters at this point who's right. You won't convince the other person anyway.

"A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still."

I think one of you should just be a bigger (better) person and stop the personal attacks. Quite frankly I'm reminded of two kids arguing back and forth. "Ahuh, na-uh, ahuh, na-uh!"

Just don't let it get carried away guys. I'm sure both of you bring some good knowledge and expertice to the forum. It would be a shame if either one or both of you are banned. That's never nice.

Robert I asked you nicely to lay off the personal attacks before. This will be your last and only warning on the matter. That's not to say that other participants are tottally innocent either but please guys lets keep this forum cival. To that end this thread is going no where so i'm going to lock it. If you want to continue to insult each other please do so via email.

                THX certification
                by Zzap
                I'm sorry I missed this Q&A session

I wanted to hear what their stand was on THX certification.

I know that they've had products certified in the past but it seems that they've stopped certifying newer products - my RMB-1075 is certified, my RSP-1098 is not.

This is my attempt at a V2.0 Wish list of enhancements for the Rotel RSP 1098

This updated list is based on feedback on the V1.0 list published in a separate thread within this forum and a second consolidated view of all the other threads I can find in this and several other...

Do you use THX processing in your C1/C2/7100? Parasound hasn't decided yet, whether to get THX certification on the new controller models, C3, HDP70, and HDR77.

Me personally, I do use THX processing, and would be willing...
