1098 DTS bass management on SB help!!

Wonder if this has been covered before...

Just added a 2 channel amp, so now have a 6.1 system. All my speakers are small, and I have just the one surround back speaker.

Using a DVE test disc, it shows that no bass is being sent to the sub for the SB channel. In DD mode, it works fine. All other channels work fine too.

Anyone else noticed this?

Do you have the latest firmware on your 1098, version 1.1.6 ?
There were some problems with surround back speakers in previous firmware versions, so maybe that's what you're having ?
Here is the software release list, with all the bugfixes.
If you don't have 1.1.6, you can dowload it on the website, and update it.

I had exactly this Bass problem with my 7.1 set-up on DTS (and several other DTS 7 channel issues) until I got firmware 1.1.6. Problem gone

Sadly, I do have 1.1.6.
