    rsp-1068 bass management

I have a question, that I cannot find in the manual.

I have all large speakers and a subwoofer, so sub is set to YES, speakers all large.

What I would like to do is this :

Have no bass redirect on 5.1 input
Have no bass redirect on DD/DTS discs
Have bass redirect on analogue tape/tuner etc.

Now I have set the sub to yes
Bass redirect to no in 5.1 setup

But now with the tuner, in Stereo the Sub led lights up
And in bypass the sub light goes off

Excellent you think, but in Stereo I get no sound from the sub. Altouhg the sub light goes off in Bypass, it makes no difference. No Sub sound.

If I set the Sub from YES to MAX, I get bass dubbeling in DD/DTS wich I dont want.

What am I doing wrong ?

Bass Management...what's a person to do?
    by Andrew Pratt
There seems to be a lot of talk lately on what bass management should or should not be doing. It also seems that there are a lot of assumptions being made about what, where and how this BM should be invoked. I came across a few links that are interesting and suggest that the problem isn't with X but...

I have a 1068 pre-pro and have been trying to integrate a new sub into my system. The pre-pro is quite new and I haven't really made much effort to get to know it until now.

I'm trying to gain an understanding...

Thanks to the wealth of information on this forum, I have been introduced to the benefits of using pro sound reinforcement amps (as opposed to plate amps) to drive DIY subwoofers. This solution would seem to demand a certain level of flexibility in the receiver/processor's bass management system that...
