Rsx 1067 or 1056 with RB1080

    Rsx 1067 or 1056 with RB1080

    So my question is, for roughly the same amount of money, which setup is better? I listen to music & movies 70/30 respectively. I guess the main question here is, is the processing better on the 1067? Because if not, it seems like the 1056 with an extra 200 watts / channel would be better. Please tell me if I am mistaken, thanks a ton.

      The consensus is that the RSX-1056 + RB-1080 is the way to go:

      -same preamp section (or at lease very very similar)
      -much better FL/FR amplifier in the RB-1080
      -and you have a 7.1 system thrown in for free

          No contest go for the 1056 and 1080..the amps in the 1080 are much better and will give you much better 2 channel performace...and the 1056's internal amps are good enough for surround duty in most applications.

              I concur, the dedicated amp for the front channels will provide a better upgrade for your money, I am certainly happy with my RB-1080 upgrade.
